At American Family Orthodontics, Creating Beautiful Smiles Is Fun!
We strive to make your New Patient experience enjoyable, comfortable, and informative. We make sure your rewarding experience begins when you contact our office to schedule a complimentary appointment.
As a courtesy to you and your dentist, there is no charge for the initial visit, allowing you to find out about your teeth and our practice (without financial obligation)
At American Family Orthodontics, we are always excited about meeting new patients and help them get acquainted with all our team and our office.
Your First Appointment
Your first appointment will consist of a thorough examination and a discussion of potential treatment options.
We understand that each patient has different goals and objectives regarding their orthodontic care. We will take the time to make sure all of your questions are answered and start you on your way to a beautiful, more confident smile! You can take a look at some of the common problems here.
This important 45-minute visit is free of charge and will give us insight into your orthodontic needs. During this visit, your diagnostic records may be secured. The records include X-rays, digital photographs, and digital models. Three-dimensional modeling is an integral part of our treatment evaluation.
Our Doctor’s and their Teams will address the following questions that cover the basics of orthodontic treatment. We encourage you to ask questions as well.
- Is there a condition that orthodontics can address?
- Is treatment needed now or should treatment be delayed until appropriate growth, tooth eruption or other factors have occurred?
- What treatment procedures will be used to correct the problem?
- Do any permanent teeth need to be removed?
- How long will treatment take?
- How much will it cost?
- What are my payment options?
We will provide to both you and your family dentist a written summary of our findings and recommendations. The digital photo diagnosis, treatment recommendations, and menu of payment options are provided in a take home folder so you may have information in hand.
If you have orthodontic insurance, bring your insurance card. By providing this information at the first visit, we will be able to give you an estimate of the cost of your treatment. Appliances may be placed at that time.
Most of all, we hope that our patients leave with a great feeling about our office and confidence in Dr. Brammer and her team, as well as a clear understanding of their specific needs, what the treatment will consist of and how long it will take.
